  • Registration for teen summer programs begins June 2 at the Adult Reference Desk, unless otherwise indicated.

  • All teen programs require registration before the day of the event and may be canceled if enrollment is low.

  • Limited registration means that the first 12 registrants will be permitted to attend, and all others will be wait-listed.

  • Programs are limited to Nanuet school district residents that have just graduated grades 6 - 12, unless otherwise indicated.  Out-of-district teens will be wait-listed.


PockyPockyfest

Play games on our Wii while sampling exotic flavors of Pocky, our favorite Japanese candy.  No registration is necessary for this event.


Costume Ball:  Summer Kick-Off Party

Whether you want to be Naruto, Spider-Man, or Hannah Montana, we ill have a fantasy make-up artist on hand to help complete your costume. Come to dance (we'll have a DJ), orjust have dinner, make ice-cream sundaes, and hang out with your friends to celebrate the end of the school year.

Be a part of the Nanuet Library Gong Show!  If you sing, dance, juggle, act, or have a unique talent to share, bring it ON!  Individual as well as group contributions will be permitted.  Come for practice at the library and get the low down on the rest of the rules.  Sarah Lantigua, a musician, singer, and dance teacher, will be available to help you choose music or give you pointers to improve your act.  You must attend at least one practice to participate in the show, but everyone is welcome to come cheer the contestants on!  Registration starts June 7 in the Children’s Room.

*This event will take place at the Suffern Library.
David Levithan, author of several young adult novels, including Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, will be talking to teens and signing books at the Suffern Library. We have purchased 10 tickets to this event, which includes dinner. NPL Teen Advisory Board members will be offered tickets first. Remaining tickets will be available to Nanuet School District teens starting June 2.

The Jester Jim Show:  2008 "Catch It" Tour

Jester Jim does it all: juggling, magic, comedy, and beatboxing. Summer reading program participants that have graduated 4th-12th grade will earn priority seating tickets for this hilarious show. Tickets will only be given Nanuet School District residents ages 9 and up until July 28. Out-of-district patrons can pick up remaining tickets on July 28. Children under 9 will not be admitted.
